Local Energy, Environment and Community Action: A province-wide video conference.

Virtual participation will bring people from 28 communities large and small and seven universities and colleges across Alberta together on March 12, 2010 to discuss local impacts and solutions to climate change.

Music instructor Merlin Thompson uses videoconference technology to give piano lessons from Mount Royal College in Calgary to Melanie Christensen at The University of Lethbridge. The videoconference is a great success, allowing the necessary interaction between teacher and student to happen with real time video and audio.

Mount Royal Helps Revive Northern ICU

Four nurses from The Stanton Territorial Hospital in Yellowknife, N.W.T. use videoconferencing technology to recieve training from Mount Royal College. The courses that the nurses take will allow the hospitals' four-bed ICU to re-open.
